Before the cleaner arrives

Confirm departure time, note any host-reported issues from the guest message thread, and check whether linen is on site or arriving with the cleaner.

Room by room

Bedrooms: strip, inspect mattress protectors, remake with fresh linen and photograph the final presentation. Bathrooms: reset amenities, check drains and restock consumables. Kitchen: empty the fridge, run and empty the dishwasher, and check crockery counts.

Before leaving

Photograph each room, log any damage with time-stamped images, restock consumables, reset air-conditioning and confirm the lock or key safe code.

After the clean

Review photographs before the guest arrives. Log any maintenance item into your supplier list rather than leaving it in a message thread.
